Northeast U.S.
This area covers the states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Conneticut, New Hampshire, Vermonth, Maine, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. It is largely made up of areas that fall into the Appalachian Highlands but also includes parts that are included in the Atlantic coastal plain. The former area, which included the Appalachian Mountains, are heavily forested and pocketed with lakes with topography that varies from rolling hills to towering summits. The latter are low, flat areas with sandy soil and marshy land.

The second most populated Yeerk area (and very nearly infringing upon the West's population if not for the two pools on that seaboard), it has no set Resistance base to war against it but that doesn't mean they aren't there. There is, in fact, a rather large Resistance presence in the largest cities within the region.

Midwest U.S.
This area covers the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The vast part of the region is flat plains or small, rolling hills but there are parts where this varies, such as the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the Great Lakes Basin, the Ozark Mountains, and the Driftless Area.

Though they have no base in the region, that does not mean that the Resistance is not here fighting the Yeerks who have expanded out from the Hev Lloph Pool. It is the third most populated Yeerk area.

West U.S.
This area covers the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washigton, Wyoming, and Hawaii. The largest region of the U.S., it is also the most geographically diverse with rainforests mixing with the Rocky Mountains and the Sierra Nevada, with the Great Plains and the deserts of the country (the Mojave, Sonoran, Great Basin, and Chihuahua).

The origin site of the Yeerk invasion and the start of the Resistance as well. The original Resistance Base (though twice moved) is here as well as Asri Ful in the south and Edir Fel in the north part of the region. It is the area of the country with the largest population of Yeerks as well as Resistance fighters.

South U.S.
This area covers the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Tennessee. The region does not fully match the geographic south of the country and mostly covers what is known as the Deep South. It has numerous climate zones despite generally being regarded as hot and humid with long summers and typically short, mild winters. Crops and trees grow easily and are frequent in the region, though there are also bayous and swamplands (which largely are found on the Gulf Coast).

This region has the second of the two Resistances Bases within it as well as the Caaye Klir Pool. It is the least Yeerk occupied zone due to lower population areas than some of the other regions of the country but that is beginning to change with growth in the area.

England
One part of the United Kingdom and in part where the ancestors of the United States stemmed from. It is largely low hills and plains but there are uplands in both the north and the southwest of the country.

The Yeerk presence in the country is small and the Resistance even less but with the construction of a new Pool tentatively beginning that may change.
